The short version
Your photos never leave your phone. Compressing and converting happen entirely on your device. There is no account, no server of ours, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no advertising. The app makes no network connections at all.
The one exception is you. Sharing a result, or saving it to Files, hands that copy to whatever you send it to - which may be an app that does use the network. That is what sharing is, and it is covered in full below.
What the app can access, and why
Photo library, reading. Used only when you tap Select Photos and pick images yourself, through the system photo picker. The app receives only the images you picked - it has no access to the rest of your library - and each image is processed on the device.
Photo library, adding. Used only when you choose to save a result, which writes that one new image to your photo library. Your originals are never modified or deleted; the app always creates new files.
The app never opens your photo library on its own, and it has no camera access at all.
What the app stores
Your preferences - the last target sizes and formats you used, and the settings you chose - are kept in the app's own private storage on your device. That includes the one piece of text you can type: the filename suffix in Settings, which is yours rather than something the app worked out, and is stored the same way as any other setting.
The app also keeps a history of what it produced: the name and size of each result, the name and size of the file it came from, its dimensions, and when it was made. Those come from the files you picked. Working copies of images made during processing live in the app's cache and are cleared automatically. Nothing else is stored, and everything is removed when you uninstall the app.
Whatever is stored is included in your device's own backup if you have one turned on - iCloud or Google backup covers app storage, and the copy inside that backup is governed by Apple's or Google's terms rather than this policy.
What happens when you save or share a result
Saving a result to your photo library or to Files, or sharing it with another app, takes it out of this app's protection. From that moment it is an ordinary file wherever you put it: readable by anything on the device that can read that location, and by whoever you send it to. That is what saving is for, and it is the one point where a file this app made stops being covered by anything written here.
What the app sends
Nothing. Compression and conversion work with no network at all, and the app does not talk to any server - not ours, not anyone's. Your photos, their contents, their names, and their metadata stay on your device.
About photo metadata
Photos can carry hidden metadata such as the time they were taken, the camera used, and the GPS location. The app lets you keep or remove this metadata when compressing or converting, and removing location data is the default. This is a feature that runs on your device; the metadata itself is never read by us or sent anywhere.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages and is not directed at children. Since it collects nothing from anyone, it collects nothing from children either.
Changes
This policy is updated before a version that changes what the app does with your data is published, and the change is described here. If advertising or analytics are ever added, that version will not ship until this policy describes exactly what is sent.
