Philosophy
“Less is more.”Ludwig Mies van der Rohe
The name reads three ways: minimalism, maximalism, mainstream. Shorten any of them and you get the same M8M. Rather than pick one, we gave each its place.
In form, we follow minimalism. The architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe said “less is more”; Dieter Rams carried it into product design as “less, but better”. Taking away isn’t austerity. It is the discipline of keeping only what earns its place.
In care, we follow maximalism. Behind every screen we remove is the longest deliberation. The simpler a thing looks, the denser the work inside it has to be.
A tool made this way finds its way into the mainstream. Minimal in what it does, infinite in what it’s for. That is why the 8 in M8M becomes ∞. Quietly at home in anyone’s day. That is what M8M Labs makes.
